Spring Play

The kids are acting in our homeschool group’s spring production entitled “Tales of Virtue.” Sarah and Rachel are both mice in The Pied Piper; and Zachary is a taylor in The Emperor’s New Clothes. We are busy attending play practice every Friday. I am in charge of Sarah and Rachel’s group so we are all working hard.

Dragon Soccer

Zachary has been involved the past two years in competive soccer. He plays for the Dragons mainly as a defender (sweeper) and as the goal keeper. I’m not sure what position he will have in the fall as we have a new coach and he will be evaluating the boys over the summer. Yes, I did say summer! We will be starting back the last week of July!

I thought everyone might enjoy seeing a few of the sport that takes over so much of our time! (It is fun! and Zachary is quite good!)

Here is the team:

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We made Valentine boxes for today’s homeschool party! Each year our support group hosts a large party featuring games, crafts, food and the favorite–a valentine exchange. It is a really large event with at least 60 kids per grade level. The party is divided into seperate grades for all the activities. Although it looks very intimidating, the party is very well organized and lots of fun! Everything is run on a timed schedule with the kids rotating into various rooms. Of course the best part is looking at all the valentines when you get home!

Merry Christmas!

We hope that everyone had a very blessed Christmas! The holiday was very happy at our home as this was our first Christmas in the new house! We had a very merry time making gingerbread houses and tree ornaments, carolling with our homeschool group and church, decorating, baking and of course opening presents!
